Tape loops
Tape loops are a [tape] manipulation technique used to repeat (or [loop]) a portion of [recorded] [audio].
- recorded audio on magnetic tape is cut out
- ends are spliced together to create a circle
- decks designed for reel-to-reel transport. no "standard" way to set up a tape loop
- requires makeshift path suitable for loop length with the right amount of tension
